Raymond Paul Wisniewski

November 21, 2017, Raymond Paul Wisniewski, whose name is on the Plaque at Hackensack City Hall as having died while in service, was living at 334 Jackson Avenue during 1940 Census. 

Raymond P. Wisniewski was a Staff Sergent on a C-47 85th Squadron, 437th Troop Carrier Group, U.S. Army Air Force.He enlisted in the Army on November 5, 1942 in Newark, New Jersey.

He was noted, at the time of his enlistment, as being employed as a Bookkeeper and/or cashier and also as Single, with dependents.

Raymond was "Killed In Action" over Holland (Netherlands) during the war. He was awarded an
Air Medal with 2 Oak Leaf Clusters and a Purple Heart.

He is buried in the Netherlands.
